When it comes to living with chronic gut issues I’ve been there done that and I am ready to share the highs, the lows, and everything I’ve done to overcome it! My name is Kylie, and I have always been the girl whining about stomachaches, my picky food choices, and gas (let’s be honest). Little did I know that I was on a downward spiral toward my very own health crisis. Four years ago, and after a recent bout of mono, I began noticing my symptoms interrupting my life in ways I would have never imagined.
I suffered from a variety of symptoms caused by: food sensitivities, candida, low stomach acid, leaky gut, parasite, and SIBO. My life turned upside down; I struggled to stay happy, have fun, and make it through a full workweek. Long story short, my body was sick and I was desperate for relief and answers.There have been many ups and downs but with self-help, support from loved ones, and an amazing team of health care professionals I am finally feeling the best I have in over 4 years! Each day I continue to work hard through self-discipline, creativity, and motivation. I often test and develop new recipes, EAT THEM, and research new alternatives to wholesomely heal my body and grow as a person. I am still a work in progress and it has not been a one cure-all but rather a journey to restore MY body’s balance. There is still so much to discover about gut health, but I can say first-hand that it is truly the basis for one’s overall well-being. Just as Hippocrates once said, “all disease begins in the gut”. Join me as I share my experience, healthy recipes, restorative lifestyle, and wellness tips! It is my hope to inspire others to get healthy, eat what you love, and nourish your body, mind, and soul.
Most of my recipes are gluten free, dairy free, nut free, low sugar and follow one or a combination of the following diets: SCD, Paleo, Low Fodmap.
